PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS
(2014-2022) MEET FALCON VALERIA:
YOUTH PASTOR AT BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH, LIHUE, HI
Falcon is a native to the Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii. His spirit is as large and captivating as the land he calls home. But it was not always so, Falcon grew up out of the rubble of a broken family and a rebellious youth; one that eventually tumbled the walls of his own heart in 2007. At age twenty-one Falcon fell to his knees in jail and surrendered his life to the God of mercy and abundant grace! Over the next few years as Christ began to mold and shape Falcon's heart, his faith became unstoppable and his love of God grew contagious!
With a huge heart and passion for people, Falcon quickly found his calling in serving the youth at his local church. In time, Falcon was able to complete several Bible college courses and a discipleship program. He also received a wealth of mentoring from elders and pastors at his church in preparation to be ordained as the youth pastor! Then, in 2014 Falcon was joined by Mary Beth, the wife of his dreams, in service of their King of Glory! Wow! what an epic ride its been!
Now more than ever, in 2016, Phoenix Road Fund is being filled up with hope for Falcon's future and the amazing plans God has for him and his family... Today, we're stoked to celebrate the recent birth of his beautiful daughter Laelia! We love you Falcon and family—mahalos!
UPDATE 2023: If you or someone you know would be interested in supporting Falcon and his family (now four!) and what God is doing in their lives today please reach out to us directly! Mahalos!
(2014-2021) MEET DAKOTA WOODIE:
STAFF AT MASTER PLAN MINISTRIES, FORT LEWIS COLLEGE, DURANGO, CO
Dakota grew up in the Rocky Mountains of southwestern Colorado with the San Juans at his back door, or fingertips... Dakota is a rock climber at heart! But greater yet is Dakota's love of Jesus, and his desire to see peers and students scaling the heights of God's unsurpassable love.
As a Native American, Dakota was raised in the culture of the Navajo and Lakota Sioux. His belief in God was primarily connected to a respect for creation and honor of the Creator. In high school Dakota was exposed to the gospel for the first time through a local youth group. But, it was not until his freshman year in college that a worldly lifestyle left him unfulfilled, asking the big questions: What am I living for? What is my purpose in life? Dakota's answer came in the simple message of God's love and forgiveness offered through faith in Jesus Christ… As a new creation in Christ, and with a new heart of worship for his Creator, Dakota's life reached new heights far above any earthly pinnacle!
Soon after, Dakota got roped in with a campus ministry (Master Plan Ministries) where he got a solid hand hold on Christ and began to climb even higher! Inevitably, he became a student leader and upon graduation he was invited to come on staff!
Today, Dakota is building a committed team of supporters to partner with him as he seeks to serve, love, and encourage the students at Fort Lewis College to the highest heights for God's glory! Keep climbing Dakota—we're behind you all the way!
UPDATE 2023: If you are interested in connecting (or climbing!) with Dakota, or learning more about his current transition into being a Career Coach for the Colorado Dept of Labor, please contact us directly! “Belay on!”
